Rosa Parks

Rosa Parks is a very strong black woman figure in history. She was born on February 4 1913 in Tuskegee, Alabama and died on October 24 2005 in Detroit, Michigan. In the 1950s she refused to sit at the back of a bus. Later, in 1987 the Rosa and Raymond Parks Institute for Self-Development was established. From 1930-1955 she was a seamstress. In 1943 she was a secretary for NAACP Montgomery branch. Rosa stood up strongly for her rights. She was brave and helped stop segregation. Rosa Parks encouraged equality and showed strong women leadership qualities. Now all races live happily and anyone can sit where they would like on a bus. You can eat anywhere, drink, have better jobs, and go to equally educated school with all races. Rosa Parks was a truly amazing historical figure.
