Rosa Parks was born on
February 4, 1913 and died October 24, 2005. She was an
African American who worked as a civil rights activist and
seamstress. On December 1, 1955, Parks refused to give her seat to a white person. James
Blakes, the bus driver,
demanded Parks give the seat to the white person. She didn't do it and started the Montgomery Bus Boycott. Her bravery was important
because black people couldn't do a lot of things that white people can do.
